Piano Lessons

Music is a universal language. It has been demonstrated that studying music has a dramatic effect on a child’s learning experience and development. As well as being fun, learning an instrument helps the student develop their discipline and character: calmness, patience, concentration and mindfulness can come from learning piano!

It is not only the student who benefits: by learning piano we can assist others by accompanying them when they perform on a melody instrument, or by accompanying choirs or ensembles. The pianist can single-handedly entertain the guests at an event, whether by supplying background music or playing for an old-fashioned sing-along!

Piano lessons will be conducted on a one-on-one basis for children as well as for adults. The duration of the lesson can be from half an hour to one hour, depending on your preferences.

Young beginners are advised to start with a one-on-one lesson for half an hour. More advanced students, for example Grade 3 and upward, would benefit from lessons of 45 minutes to an hour.

I teach all grades, starting with early beginners up to postgraduate students. I can assist with students’ preparation for auditions for University; as well as preparing them for AMEB, LTCL, ABRSM and HSC exams, including practical, theory and aural components.
